WHEN IT COMES TO INJURIES SUSTAINED IN AN AUTO ACCIDENT, WE UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY SECOND COUNTS
Car accidents frequently result in injuries to the the body’s joint or musculoskeletal system. In these cases, an Orthopedic specialist will need to be consulted and especially if there are fractures, broken bones, or sprains.
If you are involved in an auto accident, your injuries can be diagnosed and treated at any one of the four Royal Palm Orthopedics locations by a doctor who is Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
WHO PAYS FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT AFTER AN ACCIDENT?
PIP INSURANCE REQUIRED
The state of Florida requires that all drivers carry Personal Injury Protection (PIP) car insurance. This kind of insurance is also referred to as “No Fault” insurance because it pays for injuries sustained by you or your passengers in an auto accident regardless of who was at-fault.
WE ARE CLAIM PROCESSING PROFESSIONALS
Our staff is trained in the claims processing process. We will work directly with your insurance company or attorney to make sure your claim is correctly filed and compensation is received to cover your medical expenses.
DON’T PAY OUT OF POCKET
It is important to note that in most cases, Primary Care physicians are not set up to bill auto insurance companies for injuries sustained in a car accident. Under these circumstances, the patient will most likely be paying out of pocket for their Primary Care visit.
DO NOT WAIT TO FILE
The State of Florida has strict rules that must be followed when filing PIP insurance claim for PIP. Most important to note is that treatment for any injuries occur within fourteen days of the date of the car accident. Once that two week period is up, your claim will not be accepted and you are no longer eligible for PIP reimbursement.
